Pending BULLDOGS - Stay tuned for current availability

Riley:  Currently on a medical hold
Reason given up for adoption: Owner surrender to shelter, shelter transfer to rescue
Temperament: All love all of the time
Health Condition: Needs a head to tail tune up
Placement Limitations: TBD
Special Needs: No

12/21/21 - Riley is a five-year-old girlie who came into rescue last week from one of our shelter partners. Riley was a breeding mama in her prior life so still has some excess skin/saggy parts. She loves nothing more than to lay her head on your arm or have her back end scratched.

Riley will be on a medical hold as we get her very infected teeth/overgrown, tender gums and stinky breath dealt with. She also is under observation for a possible need for entropian repair and, of course, a spay. It looks like she's had chronic ear infections as her canals are quite tight. We're also doing some tuning up on her wrinkles, nose rope and tail pocket. Currently being fostered in Omaha, NE.
- Adoption Fee - $TBD
Ella:  Currently on a medical hold

7/25/21 - Ella is a 4 year old snuggle bug! She loves to play, cuddle on the couch with you and seems to do ok with other dogs and school-aged children.

Ella has what appears to be cluster seizures occurring approximately once a month and seem to be more prevalent around stress/anxiety. She has gained strength in her back limbs and is making great improvements after a back injury. She never lost control of her bladder/bowel so given how she’s bouncing back, it seems as though she had a spinal cord bruise. Xrays do show way more arthritis in mid back and hips than we’d ever think for a 4 year old so a joint supplement and weight management are key! We’re already using a bit of cbd for her seizures and that should also help with the arthritis. Ella has been visiting her new friends at Five Elements to help build a comprehensive plan for both her spine and seizure care. We have also transitioned her diet to a more natural/less carb heavy food.

12/21/21: Ella has grown up so much! We’re proud of how she plays with her foster sister—and love seeing her back end get stronger every day! Ella visited Dr. Mike at PAH last week and had bloodwork drawn. Her phenobarb and potassium bromide levels both look good! We’ll continue to monitor her closely and document her seizures. In three months, she had seizures just on two days so we are making a bit of progress! Ella will have a check up again in 6 months and will continue to see Dr. Jen at Five Elements for her chiro and acupuncture. Her med list does definitely make her special needs (Keppra ER, potassium bromide, phenobarbital, joint supplements, hind end support, CBD) and she’s on a pretty tight diet (Honest Kitchen limited ingredient or grain free fish, goat milk, kefir, and bone broth) to give her the best neuro support we can. IF Ella continues to succeed like she is, we can start to consider a foster to adopt situation. It’s been a long road but she shows us on a daily basis why she’s worth it!

Ella is just the sweetest girl and will make the best side kick! Interested adopters need to travel to Lincoln/Omaha with all family members and resident dogs to meet Ella.
